Lets Start With A Drink
Local beers
There is nothing better then sitting down and having a cold drink after the tour in the heat. Bear lovers can taste the Spanish 'star' Estrella Damm, Barcelona original Moritz or Catalan favourite Xibeca. For even fresher taste you can order a local shandy 'clara' which is a beer mixed with lemonade.
Vermuth

You were not in Catalunya if you havent tasted the go-to drink or as I call it an 'alcoholic coca-cola' is a dark, aromatic fortified wine infused with herbs, spices, and botanicals, often slightly sweet and bitter at once. Traditionally sipped on the rocks with an orange slice and an olive.

CAVA
French have champagne, Italians Prosecco, Catalans have Cava — a sparkling wine made using the traditional method but with local grapes. Fresh, crisp, and full of fine bubbles, it ranges from bone-dry to delicately sweet.

RATAFIA
Ratafia is a traditional Catalan liqueur made by macerating green walnuts with a mix of local herbs, spices, and fruits. Sweet, nutty, and aromatic, it’s usually enjoyed as a digestif and carries a deep connection to family recipes and festive gatherings in Catalonia.

WINE
Catalonia is wine country with attitude — 12 regions plus the famous DOQ Priorat (a seal of originality). You’ll sip crisp Cava in Penedès, bold reds in Priorat, and fresh whites from Terra Alta. Look out for Torres for classics, Álvaro Palacios or Clos Mogador for powerful Priorat reds, and Gramona or Llopart if you want fancy bubbles.
The most famous party drink - red wine mixed with bits of orange, lemon, apple, and sometimes peach or berries with some sweet sirup, soda and sometimes a splash or something stronger. Definitely d not buy a fancy wine when trying to make Sangría. Just keep pouring fanta and wine into the fruit because it's more about fun and sharing rather than recipes.
SANGRÍA

TINTO DE VERANO
If you can mix lemonade with beer, for sure you can add it to wine! If you want the simplest and freshest summer treat in the heat just ask for tinto de verano - literally 'red in the summer'
Orxata (Horchata de chufa)
'To avoid you sayin Hey Henrieta, but this is all alcohol!' here is a very unique drink originally from Valencia, but found everywhere in Barcelona horchata is a sweet, milky drink made from tiger nuts, water, and sugar. Often served ice-cold, horchata is naturally vegan and pairs perfectly with crispy fartons, a local pastry for dipping.
